Fall Events in the Berkshires You Don’t Want to Miss

Here at Haddad Nissan, we think it’s important for us to stay involved with community here in the Berkshires, whether its sponsoring charitable events or just enjoying all the great activities our area has to offer. With Fall rapidly approaching, the list of things to do in and around our area is nothing short of extraordinary. Whether you’re a resident or just visiting, here are a few of the amazing events you can take part in.

Walk A Mile March

The first event we have on our calendar is the 7th annual Walk a Mile March to Stop Rape, Sexual Assault, and Gender Violence. Join the Elizabeth Freeman Center, our team, and hundreds of your fellow citizens at Third Thursday on September 21st in Pittsfield and take part in this amazing event. The objective is simple- put on a fresh pair of high heels and walk through Downtown Pittsfield to raise money for survivors of abuse. Together, your contributions support women across the country. September 21st is the date, so be sure to mark your calendar and take a stand with us! Check out the Facebook Event page here.

Later in September, Lenox will be holding their 38th annual Apple Squeeze. Main Street in Lenox will be lined with artists and vendors selling everything from local honey to quilts along with food for purchase and a jam-packed lineup of music and performers in addition to all of the local shops and restaurants. The Lenox Apple Squeeze will be happening Saturday, September 23rd and Sunday, September 24th. For more information, check out their Facebook Event.

Next up, there is the Fall Foliage Festival and Parade in North Adams. Now in its 62nd year, this wonderful celebration of Fall features countless businesses, organizations, and Berkshire community members marching along Route 8, and features a wide variety of events such as a road race and craft fair. The Fall Foliage Festival is family fun, and a part of history here in The Berkshires. This year’s festival and parade will be happening on Sunday, October 1st, from 1pm to 3pm. For complete event details, visit the events Facebook page.

Harvest Festival

Then, on Columbus Day weekend, Berkshire Botanical Garden will be holding it’s 83rd annual Harvest Festival. This is one of the longest running festivals in our area, and for good reason: this festival has something for everyone: delicious food offerings, lots of kid friendly activities, live entertainment all weekend long, as well as a slew of local artists and vendors selling their wares. Oh, and did we mention the Haunted House? What’s even better- all proceeds benefit the Botanical Garden’s education program. So be sure to mark Saturday, October 7th and Sunday, October 8th on your calendar. The festival hours are 10am to 5pm: Admission is $7 for adults; Children under 12 are FREE.

There is no shortage of fun to be had in the Berkshires- even after Labor Day! Have some suggestions about fun things to do in and around the Berkshires this fall? Share with us in the comments below or on Social Media! We’re on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
