Nissan is revolutionizing electric car design with the innovative BladeGlider Prototype. Recently racing as a performance model at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the Nissan BladeGlider Prototype offers a sleek build, innovative technologies, and impressive performance.
The Nissan BladeGlider Prototype offers sleek style and innovative technology.
The all-electric Nissan BladeGlider Prototype was created after two years of research and testing. It has rear-hinged dihedral doors to create a dramatic entrance, while a low center of gravity improves handling. It also has roll-over protection and an open-top design that makes driving truly thrilling. According to Nissan, the BladeGlider premiered last year; nonetheless, it’s been tweaked to optimize performance.
“The BladeGlider has been developed to bring fun, torque, efficiency and high-performance styling to the fore,” said Ponz Pandikuthira, VP of Product Planning. “Goodwood has been a world-famous showcase for many an iconic sports car over the years, so we could think of no better place to bring the BladeGlider out to play, demonstrating the Nissan Intelligent Mobility vision in action.”
The BladeGlider has a top speed of 115 mph and up to 268 horsepower. It can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in less than five seconds, and it weighs just over a ton. The car also seats two people, and its zero-emission powertrain uses the latest battery storage and charging technologies. While the BladeGlider is just a concept, you can see some of the latest Nissan technologies at Haddad Nissan with the current Nissan model lineup.
Ever hear of a Faraday Cage? It’s an 180-year-old invention that uses conductive materials to block any sort of electromagnetic field from penetrating its borders. If this sounds a little sci-fi to you, you’re not wrong; Faraday Cages have been spotlighted in films and shows from Enemy of the State starring Will Smith and Gene Hackman to the long-running TV show Lost. The Cage’s next big role? The Nissan Juke.
Nissan is minimizing distracted driving by utilizing the Faraday Cage as a Signal Shield. The center console of the Nissan Juke concept is actually just a Faraday Cage. When you place your device inside, it successfully blocks all incoming communications, including messages, calls, Bluetooth, and wi-fi. The device can still be connected to the car’s console through a wired connection system inside the Signal Shield. Once removed, the device will be restored to full functionality with absolutely zero damage.
Minimizing distracted driving is an important initiative that automakers across the globe are undertaking in a variety of ways. While Nissan’s Signal Shield is still just a concept, we at Haddad Nissan are interested to see if it will make its way into the mainstream of future Nissan vehicles.
Every automaker seems to have some kind of infotainment system in most of their vehicles. Nissan is no different, packing the NissanConnect infotainment system into most models. From the basics to more advanced features, NissanConnect is designed to appeal to drivers everywhere with benefits far beyond what other automakers offer.
Possibly the most important benefit of NissanConnect is the added peace of mind and security. Response specialists are on-call at the touch of a button. If your airbags are deployed and you’re unable to hit the button, a live agent will send first responders to your location.
If there’s a young driver behind the wheel, NissanConnect can help you keep control. Curfew, Max Speed, and Boundary Alerts will notify you if your teen pushes the limits. On top of that, you’ll receive an alert if there’s a warning light on in the vehicle.
It’s a whole new musical world with NissanConnect. Packed with music apps, like Pandora and iHeart Radio, you can pick and choose what to listen to from a massive selection. Bluetooth your smartphone or iPod and listen to your playlists. Equipped with SiriusXM Travel Link, you can check out local movies, sports scores, stock market data, weather, and much, much more!
The NissanConnect infotainment system is an all-encompassing system that will fit the needs of every driver! Here at Haddad Nissan, we have the know how to answer all of your questions!
One of the latest new conveniences of the automotive world are remote starters. At first, it may seem like they only provide a minor convenience boost, but we’ve found they are one of the most popular features among our customers at Haddad Nissan. That’s why this month during YESvember we’ve got some great deals on them (they make great early Christmas gifts!). There are plenty of benefits of a remote starter. Here are a few:
- Comfort: Isn’t it nice to be able to hop in your car in the winter and enjoy the warmth right from the get-go? That’s just one of the benefits of a remote starter, and we promise you’ll never get tired of it.
- Safety: Warming up the car has the added advantage of making it easier to scrape or defrost the windows, improving your visibility and safety in snowy conditions.
- Engine Care: Warming up your engine for a minute or two before heading out is useful as it allows the motor oil to become more viscous and provide more lubrication.
- Resale Value: Being able to include a remote starter with your car can significantly increase its resale value, especially if you live in a snowy region.
If you’re looking to buy an inexpensive car, chances are you’re expecting it to be bare-bones without very many exciting features. Think again, because today’s cheap cars don’t come with cheap features. Quite the opposite, actually.

Comfort. Style. Entertainment. Technology. These are a few things that people look for when shopping for a car. The 2015 Nissan Murano interior offers all of this and more, which is why it was named one of WardsAuto World’s “10 Best Interiors” of 2015.
To determine which vehicle received the honor, WardsAuto editors spent months driving 42 different vehicles and evaluating their interiors based on several criteria, including ergonomics, driver information, fit-and-finish, materials, value, safety, comfort and design harmony.
The 2015 Murano immediately stood out to the editors because of its luxurious styling and materials.
“First time I saw the new Murano interior, I was blown away by the pearlescent film that’s used to lovely effect on the doors, instrument panel, center console and armrest,” said Tom Murphy, executive editor, WardsAuto World. “The rest of the interior is brilliantly executed as well, from the smooth, flowing lines of the instrument panel to the ample cargo hold. Beige interiors often are perceived as boring, but this one is stylish and contemporary while achieving a serenity uncommon among midsize CUVs.”
So if you’re looking for a vehicle that’s beautiful on the outside and the inside, look no further than the 2015 Nissan Murano. See what else it has to offer today at Haddad Nissan!

It’s no secret that Nissan is a car brand for the performance-minded – just look at the 370Z and the GT-R! But another thing Nissan does well is create vehicles that are more mainstream and family-minded. Did you ever think these two categories could fit seamlessly together? Now they can, with the all-new 2016 Nissan Maxima.
The all-new 2016 Maxima is being called a “4-Door Sports Car” – its design is sleek, dramatic and cool. But because it’s in the large sedan segment, it can also function as a family car. If your family has a need for speed, that is. The Maxima’s V6 engine pumps out 300 horsepower and will achieve an estimated 15 percent increase in highway fuel economy.
The changes don’t stop under the hood, however. The all-new Maxima features a standard NissanConnectSM with navigation and a touch-screen display, rearview camera, and remote starter.
If you’re looking for a large sedan but you don’t want to compromise on cool, you have to check out the 2016 Nissan Maxima. This car screams cool! Check it out when it comes into our showrooms later this year!
