This past December, Consumer Guide Automotive named both the Rogue and Rogue Sport to its exclusive “Best Buy” list. The Nissan Rogue received the “Best Buy Award” in the compact crossover category; the Rogue Sport version was honored with the award in the subcompact crossover category.
2018 Nissan Rogue
Consumer Guide Automotive thoroughly evaluates vehicles before it grants the awards. It judges each auto based on performance and value, then compares the vehicle with other members of its class. Consumer Guide Automotive stated that the Rogue offers “respectable fuel economy, refined interior materials, and passenger and cargo versatility that few compact SUVs can match.” The Nissan Rogue Sport gleaned a similarly radiant review. “The Nissan Rogue Sport takes all the winning traits of its compact Nissan Rogue sibling and condenses them down into a nicely executed subcompact SUV,” while also “remaining especially easy to maneuver and park in cramped urban areas.”

The Nissan Qashqai saw great success in Europe, and now the Japanese automaker is bringing the model to the United States. While the model itself will be rolling onto our shores this spring, the name will be left across the pond. The small crossover will join the bestselling Rogue line instead.
The 2017 Nissan Rogue Sport, as it will be called, is similar to the Rogue in everything but size. The standard Rogue is a foot longer and has a 2.3-inch longer wheelbase. The new Rogue Sport will sit just above the Juke and other crossovers, like the Kia Soul.
Like the standard Rogue, the Rogue Sport will boast a multilink rear suspension. The two models will also share the same grille design, wheels, and paint colors. Much of the interior is relatively unchanged between the two models as well. The smaller Rogue Sport has 61 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded compared to the 70 cubic feet of space in the standard Rogue.
The new Rogue Sport will boast a standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 141 hp. The sole powertrain comes mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT).
We at Haddad Nissan can’t wait for the new Rogue Sport to hit our lot later this spring!
