Service Checklist for Spring Car Care

We at Haddad Nissan know how important it is to service your vehicle seasonally. Winter is coming to an end, so we’ve put together this spring car care checklist to get your vehicle in tip-top shape for the new season.

Catch up with routine vehicle service

If you have not been doing this already, all drivers should be keeping up with the routine service schedule as outlined in their owner’s manual. This can range from replacing burnt out bulbs to streaky windshield wipers to checking the tread on your tires.

Correct any seemingly minor mechanical issues

Sometimes, drivers will dismiss minor issues such as stalling, rough idling, or hard starts as something that can be ignored. Instead, make sure to have these problems checked before they turn into potentially major repair items.

Change oil and coolant fluids

Both oil and coolant fluid help your engine function more efficiently and safely.

Inspect belts and hoses

The engine contains networks of belts, hoses, clamps, and other moving parts that can become worn out or damaged. Make sure to replace these when needed.

Have your air conditioner checked

Air conditioning may not feel like a “necessary” part of spring car care, but keeping yourself cool in the warmer months is a must.
