After a two year run, Pathfinder Hybrid Production will cease due to consumers’ preference for the V6 version showed here.
Carmakers’ lineups are constantly evolving and Nissan’s is no exception. The Japanese carmaker recently announced that it will be stopping Pathfinder Hybrid production after the hybrid SUVs two-year run. Instead, Nissan will use the 2016 lineup to focus on the 3.5-liter V6 Pathfinder.
While many consumers showed interest in going green by switching to the spacious, yet fuel-efficient hybrid SUV, the gasoline-powered Pathfinder was by far the most popular version of the SUV. June 2015 sales for the Pathfinder nameplate were up 4.9 percent with 41,938 units sold, with the V6 model being responsible for the majority of these. According to Dan Bedore, North American product communications director, “the hybrid was never a big part of Pathfinder sales.”
It is because of this dip in popularity that Pathfinder Hybrid production will cease. Compared to the 3.5-liter V6 Pathfinder, the Hybrid version only received three to four extra miles per gallon.

Renault-Nissan Alliance has sold over 250,000 EV’s worldwide. This is over half of all global EV sales.
Four and a half years after the Nissan LEAF was introduced to the world, the Renault-Nissan Alliance has reached a new milestone with 250,000 electric vehicles sold. This number accounts for more than half of all the electric vehicles sold worldwide, encompassing all brands.
“The trend globally to impose tougher restrictions on automotive CO2 emissions, to mitigate the impact of climate change, means eventually all automakers will need to offer zero-emissions alternatives in their fleets,” said Renault-Nissan Alliance CEO Carlos Ghosn. “The most practical alternative today is the EV.”
Even though fuel prices have been dropping, the Alliance’s global EV sales were up 15 percent through the first five months of the year, in large part thanks to Nissan itself. LEAF sales were responsible for more than 180,000 of that milestone quarter million and the automaker was up 13.3 percent last month, setting a new June record with 124,228 units sold.
The most successful models included the Rogue and Murano crossovers, the Pathfinder SUV, the Altima sedan, and the all-new eighth-generation Maxima, which went on sale last month at Haddad Nissan. Overall sales of Nissan crossovers, SUVs, and trucks were up 30.3 percent, also a new record!
If you weren’t already convinced that Nissan was the kind of automaker which didn’t blindly follow trends then the Nissan GT-R LM Nismo should provide overwhelming proof that Nissan can be a maverick.
Vehicles built for endurance races like the 24-Hour Le Mans are mid-engine, rear-wheel drive racers all across the board. This is largely due to the unique restrictions of the race but this arrangement is popular because Le Mans features tight curves where under-steer could be detrimental. A rear-positioned engine prevents under-steer.
Going against the grain, Nissan has built a front-engine, front-axle hybrid motor vehicle. In addition to curves, Le Mans has a lot of straight-aways. This means that a more aerodynamic car could make a huge difference. This is exactly what Nissan has done, designing a racer that creates an enormous amount of downforce.
Front-wheel drive also means a more efficient race car. Couple that with the GT-R LM Nismo’s electrical energy recovery system, and the efficiency reaches superior levels. A more efficient entry will fare better at an endurance race for obvious reasons.
The advent of the summer season is finally upon us–and with it come festivals, parades, celebrations, and of course, family road trips. So to help our patrons, here are a few summer road trip tips to remember while embarking on your next motorway adventure.
- Get your car checked: Whether perusing over items yourself or choosing to have a thorough examination by a trusted professional at Haddad Nissan, be sure that wiper blades, fluid levels, belt and hose connections, tire pressure, turn signals, headlights, and your spare tire are all in working order and roadworthy before leaving.
- Take the essentials: This includes important documents like an up-to-date driver’s license, proof of insurance, wallet with money and credit cards, printed maps—in case you lose satellite reception, phone charger, and GPS. You also don’t want to forget snacks, games, and a musical playlist.
- Be ready for the unexpected: For those just-in-case scenarios, here are some “how to” videos to change a tire and jump-start your car battery. You also want to make sure you have a tire iron, jumper cables, bottled water, and a first-aid kit stowed somewhere in your vehicle.
Wherever your journey may take you, we wish you safe travels and hope that you will plan a visit to Haddad Nissan to see the latest Nissan fleet available to you!
The latest craze in automotive technology is the development of an autonomous car – one that can drive itself, without human intervention.
By 2020, “Our cars will be ready,” said Nissan Chief Executive Carlos Ghosn Monday during a press conference.
This is very exciting news, although it’s not very surprising, as Nissan has always been at the forefront of innovative automotive technology. And developing a successful autonomous vehicle has been a huge goal for popular automakers, and even companies like Google.
Can you imagine life 5 years from now if everyone “drove” cars that drove themselves? We would have so much more free time – all of those hours spent weekly communing from place to place could be spent elsewhere, and long road trips would be a lot more painless!
We don’t want to get too far ahead of ourselves, but it’s fun to imagine a world of driverless cars. How do you picture it? Tell us in the comments!
If you’re looking to buy an inexpensive car, chances are you’re expecting it to be bare-bones without very many exciting features. Think again, because today’s cheap cars don’t come with cheap features. Quite the opposite, actually.

Comfort. Style. Entertainment. Technology. These are a few things that people look for when shopping for a car. The 2015 Nissan Murano interior offers all of this and more, which is why it was named one of WardsAuto World’s “10 Best Interiors” of 2015.
To determine which vehicle received the honor, WardsAuto editors spent months driving 42 different vehicles and evaluating their interiors based on several criteria, including ergonomics, driver information, fit-and-finish, materials, value, safety, comfort and design harmony.
The 2015 Murano immediately stood out to the editors because of its luxurious styling and materials.
“First time I saw the new Murano interior, I was blown away by the pearlescent film that’s used to lovely effect on the doors, instrument panel, center console and armrest,” said Tom Murphy, executive editor, WardsAuto World. “The rest of the interior is brilliantly executed as well, from the smooth, flowing lines of the instrument panel to the ample cargo hold. Beige interiors often are perceived as boring, but this one is stylish and contemporary while achieving a serenity uncommon among midsize CUVs.”
So if you’re looking for a vehicle that’s beautiful on the outside and the inside, look no further than the 2015 Nissan Murano. See what else it has to offer today at Haddad Nissan!

For the fourth year in a row, Nissan has received the honorable ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award. This award is given to companies who strive to make their operations more energy efficient.
“Since Nissan became an ENERGY STAR partner in 2006, we have made continual improvements to our operations, which has helped us reduce both our environmental footprint and manufacturing costs,” said John Martin, senior vice president, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management and Purchasing. “In 2014, those improvements reduced the amount of energy required to build vehicles by 13 percent—that’s the same amount of energy it would take to power more than 5,400 homes for an entire year.”
Some things Nissan did to improve its energy consumption was switched to efficient LED lighting, repaired compressed air leaks, and began using an environmentally painting process.
We are proud to represent a brand that does so much to help the environment. Stop by today and check out some of our environmentally friendly vehicles, like the LEAF!

It’s no secret that Nissan is a car brand for the performance-minded – just look at the 370Z and the GT-R! But another thing Nissan does well is create vehicles that are more mainstream and family-minded. Did you ever think these two categories could fit seamlessly together? Now they can, with the all-new 2016 Nissan Maxima.
The all-new 2016 Maxima is being called a “4-Door Sports Car” – its design is sleek, dramatic and cool. But because it’s in the large sedan segment, it can also function as a family car. If your family has a need for speed, that is. The Maxima’s V6 engine pumps out 300 horsepower and will achieve an estimated 15 percent increase in highway fuel economy.
The changes don’t stop under the hood, however. The all-new Maxima features a standard NissanConnectSM with navigation and a touch-screen display, rearview camera, and remote starter.
If you’re looking for a large sedan but you don’t want to compromise on cool, you have to check out the 2016 Nissan Maxima. This car screams cool! Check it out when it comes into our showrooms later this year!
