Nissan BladeGlider Prototype Showcases Electric Performance Tech
Nissan is revolutionizing electric car design with the innovative BladeGlider Prototype. Recently racing as a performance model at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the Nissan BladeGlider Prototype offers a sleek build, innovative technologies, and impressive performance.
The all-electric Nissan BladeGlider Prototype was created after two years of research and testing. It has rear-hinged dihedral doors to create a dramatic entrance, while a low center of gravity improves handling. It also has roll-over protection and an open-top design that makes driving truly thrilling. According to Nissan, the BladeGlider premiered last year; nonetheless, it’s been tweaked to optimize performance.
“The BladeGlider has been developed to bring fun, torque, efficiency and high-performance styling to the fore,” said Ponz Pandikuthira, VP of Product Planning. “Goodwood has been a world-famous showcase for many an iconic sports car over the years, so we could think of no better place to bring the BladeGlider out to play, demonstrating the Nissan Intelligent Mobility vision in action.”
The BladeGlider has a top speed of 115 mph and up to 268 horsepower. It can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in less than five seconds, and it weighs just over a ton. The car also seats two people, and its zero-emission powertrain uses the latest battery storage and charging technologies.
