2015 Nissan Sentra

The 2015 Nissan Sentra has proven yet again that it’s a leader in the compact sedan segment – it just took home the “Highest Ranked Compact Car” award in J.D. Power’s 2015 Initial Quality Study (IQS).

The award recognizes the vehicle in each segment that received the lowest number of problems within 90 days of ownership. J.D. Power surveyed over 84,000 vehicle owners for this study.

“In the very competitive segment of compact sedans, Sentra continues to separate itself with a strong combination of quality, safety, value, style and more,” said Fred Diaz, senior vice president of Nissan Sales & Marketing Operations.

The 2015 Nissan Sentra boasts Dual Zone automatic temperature control, a Rearview Monitor, up to 40 mpg on the highway, and a sleek exterior design. And with a price starting at $16,480, it’s a compact car that anyone can afford.

Global EV Sales Reach Record 250,000 Thanks to Nissan LEAF

Global EV sales graphic

Renault-Nissan Alliance has sold over 250,000 EV’s worldwide. This is over half of all global EV sales.

Four and a half years after the Nissan LEAF was introduced to the world, the Renault-Nissan Alliance has reached a new milestone with 250,000 electric vehicles sold. This number accounts for more than half of all the electric vehicles sold worldwide, encompassing all brands.

“The trend globally to impose tougher restrictions on automotive CO2 emissions, to mitigate the impact of climate change, means eventually all automakers will need to offer zero-emissions alternatives in their fleets,” said Renault-Nissan Alliance CEO Carlos Ghosn. “The most practical alternative today is the EV.”

Even though fuel prices have been dropping, the Alliance’s global EV sales were up 15 percent through the first five months of the year, in large part thanks to Nissan itself. LEAF sales were responsible for more than 180,000 of that milestone quarter million and the automaker was up 13.3 percent last month, setting a new June record with 124,228 units sold.

The most successful models included the Rogue and Murano crossovers, the Pathfinder SUV, the Altima sedan, and the all-new eighth-generation Maxima, which went on sale last month at Haddad Nissan. Overall sales of Nissan crossovers, SUVs, and trucks were up 30.3 percent, also a new record!

For the fourth year in a row, Nissan has received the honorable ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award. This award is given to companies who strive to make their operations more energy efficient.

“Since Nissan became an ENERGY STAR partner in 2006, we have made continual improvements to our operations, which has helped us reduce both our environmental footprint and manufacturing costs,” said John Martin, senior vice president, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management and Purchasing. “In 2014, those improvements reduced the amount of energy required to build vehicles by 13 percent—that’s the same amount of energy it would take to power more than 5,400 homes for an entire year.”

Some things Nissan did to improve its energy consumption was switched to efficient LED lighting, repaired compressed air leaks, and began using an environmentally painting process.

We are proud to represent a brand that does so much to help the environment. Stop by today and check out some of our environmentally friendly vehicles, like the LEAF!
