Beware of These Summer Driving Dangers This Year

Summer Driving DangersSummer weather may be much less hazardous than winter weather, but that does not mean that the summer months are devoid of driving downfalls. This year, stay safe on the roads by keeping these summer driving dangers in mind:

  • During the summer, you can expect to see way more pedestrians on the road, particularly teens that are no longer in school.
  • Similarly, the chances that you’ll find pets or wild animals on the street is stronger than ever.
  • When it’s hot outside, your risks of falling asleep behind the wheel and heat exhaustion are heightened, so stay hydrated!
  • The sun will be shining more brightly than ever, so it’s a good idea to keep a pair of quality sunglasses stowed safely in your vehicle.
  • And lastly, your windshield and windows will not protect your skin from the sun’s UV rays, so don’t forget to wear sunscreen.

The football players who have received the Heisman Trophy are capable of some incredible feats on the field. However, working with Nissan, these athletes are doing some even more incredible things off the field and in the community.

According to a Nissan press release, Nissan and the Heisman Trophy Trust are set to build a Habitat for Humanity House near Nashville.

Among those participants who will help with the construction of the Habitat build are Heisman Trophy winners Tim Brown, Mark Ingram, George Rogers, Billy Sims, and Marcus Mariota.

“While every Habitat home is a blessing, the special relationship with Nissan and the Heisman Trust makes this home build extra special,” said Danny Herron, CEO of the Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville. “We take pride in empowering families in realizing the dream of owning their first home, and having the Heisman winners working alongside the many generous volunteers to make this family’s dream come true is an experience we will always remember.”
